Booking Conditions

1. Bookings & Payment

  • To make a booking at Gather Bulimba, a 20% deposit is required.

  • Full payment will be due 30 days prior to the date of your engagement.

  • Your booking period is your total access period, this includes arrival and set up, pack down and bump out. Please allow enough time within your booking to complete all activity.

  • Overtime may incur additional fees and is subject to availability.

2. Hours of Use

  • Gather Bulimba is open Monday to Sunday, 7am – 9pm.

3. Access

  • The Gather Bulimba venue operates on the Ground Floor of 9/57 Karthina St.

  • Upon arrival a member of the team from Luminate Leadership will meet you onsite.
    You’ll be greeted at the beginning of your session, then left to enjoy the space.

  • Your venue hire includes the exclusive use of kitchen area that is located on the ground floor, as well as use of the common areas on the 1st floor, including the bathroom and balcony, as well as the outdoor area seating located in front of the entry door to number 9 on Karthina St.

4. Your Event at Gather Bulimba

  • Gather Bulimba may be used for types of events, such as;

    • corporate workshops & programs

    • board meetings

    • team planning days

    • group coaching

    • in-person podcast recordings or live podcast events

    • yoga and pilates classes

    • cocktail events, (ie; book launches, live podcast events)

  • For events exceeding 20 people, additional furniture may be required to be hired at the hirer’s expense.

  • The hirer is responsible for ensuring all guests and visitors comply with these terms.

5. Parking

  • Two (2) car spaces are provided directly in front of the venue, marked with the number 9.
    Additional parking is available in the six visitor bays marked with a “V” or on the surrounding street.
    There is also one accessible bay (shared across all tenants of Karthina Lane) located beside the Gather Bulimba roller door.

  • Please do not park in any other tenant’s allocated spaces and ensure your guests are informed of this rule prior to arrival. Any vehicles parked incorrectly may be towed at the owner’s expense.

  • On street parking is also available on Karthina Street and Michael Street and surrounding areas.

6. Venue Care & Conduct

  • Please leave the venue as you found it. Return all furniture and props to their original locations, clear all rubbish, and wipe surfaces if needed.

  • A cleaning fee may apply if the space is not left in good condition.

  • Please respect neighbouring tenants by keeping music and noise at a reasonable level.

Technology and Equipment:

  • Included in your venue hire at Gather, you will have access to:

    • HDMI Input to 85" TV

    • Dedicated WIFI Network

    • Video Conferencing Facilities supporting Google Meets, Microsoft Teams and Zoom

  • Additional technology is available for additional hire, such as Podcast and Videography equipment.

  • A user manual is available on site to assist with set up.

Furniture:

  • Please do not drag items; always lift with two people minimum.

  • Furniture must remain on its original level (no moving items between floors).

Catering:

  • While catering is not included as part of your venue hire at Gather Bulimba, your booking does include access to complimentary tea, coffee, filtered water as well as use of a full size fridge & freezer, crockery and cutlery.

  • You are welcome to provide your own catering or we recommend options such as:

    Chez Nous Catering

    Willies Oxford St

    Hawthorne Garage

    Etto Eats Catering

Restrictions:

  • No smoking, vaping, illegal substances, candles, incense, glitter, confetti, fake snow, paint, or similar materials.

  • No body oils, tanning products, or food and drink on furniture.

  • No explicit, adult or nude photography/videography.

7. Damages & Liability

  • The hirer is responsible for any damage to the venue, building, furniture, props, fittings, or equipment during their booking.
    Repair or replacement costs will be charged to the hirer.

  • Gather Bulimba is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to hirer’s equipment, personal belongings, or work.

  • Gather Bulimba accepts no liability for injury or accidents during the booking. The hirer must ensure safe practices are followed at all times.

8. Cleaning & Rubbish

  • Please remove all rubbish, especially food waste, at the end of your session.

  • Please put all crockery and cutlery into the dishwasher provider in the venue.

  • Failure to leave the space tidy may result in:

  • Cleaning fee: $100

  • Rubbish disposal fee: $50

9. Cancellations

  • Cancel 14+ days before your booking → Full refund.

  • Cancel -14 days before your booking → No refund.

Reschedules are treated as cancellations and re-bookings unless otherwise agreed.

10. Insurance

  • Gather Bulimba strongly recommends hirers hold appropriate insurance for public liability, equipment, and professional cover.

  • Gather Bulimba does not provide insurance for hirers or guests.

11. Social Media

  • We love seeing your work. Please tag @gather_bulimba when sharing content created here if you’re happy for us to repost.

12. Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
    Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

By booking Gather Bulimba, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
